"Money is congealed energy," said Joseph Campbell. And releasing it releases life's possibilities. . . .
Thousands of people worldwide have learned how to build a powerful new relationship with their money and bring their dreams to fruition through Dr. Maria Nemeth's dynamic workshops. Now you can, too. In The Energy of Money, Dr. Nemeth--who received an Audio Publishers Award for her Sounds True series on which this book is based--draws upon her more than twenty years' experience in synthesizing spiritual and practical techniques for managing yourself and your work to create a revolutionary program that can free your financial energy and use it to achieve personal life goals and financial wealth. Combining a complete self-help and self-discovery regimen with proven methods of money management, this powerhouse guide to prosperity presents twelve principles that will help you to

Through easy-to-follow exercises and meditations, effective worksheets, and other interactive processes, Dr. Nemeth will guide you to financial success and help you manifest your special contribution to the world.
The Energy of Money: A Spiritual Guide to Financial and Personal Fulfillment, by Maria Nemeth, Ph.D., outlines a distinctly unique approach to one of the most dominant yet forbidden topics in modern society: money, and how we deal with it. A clinical psychologist who once lost $35,000 in a fraudulent investment scheme, Nemeth learned from that ordeal (and similar experiences of friends and associates) how most of us develop relationships with money, and the ways in which we subsequently can bring these in line with our actual dreams and realities. She initially used this knowledge to start a workshop called You and Money, which eventually attracted more than 4,500 participants and led to the development of concepts now delineated in this book. Quoting relevant wisdom espoused by those ranging from Joseph Campbell and Ram Dass to Mark Twain and Dorothy Parker, Nemeth sets out "12 principles for personal fulfillment" designed to help readers "uncover the hidden landscape of beliefs, behavior patterns, and habits that underlie and sometimes subvert how you use money and other forms of energy." The result is a refreshing, useful, and surprisingly accessible mixture of universal financial advice and the much rarer--but no less important--ethereal side of fiscal self-management. --Howard Rothman

Excellent! A must read for everyone whether you have money or not. The author takes the reader on an interesting journey that helps you to understand the relationship between your earning power, material possessions and closely held beliefs. I strongly recommend this book.
I have read 10-15 books about money and success over the years, and this is hands down the best. Maria Nemeth is a very wise woman, and that comes through in every word of the book. When I say she is wise, I mean that she understands Spiritual Law extremely well, and communicates it effectively. This is not a book with a bunch of knowledge about how to invest. It is a book about clearing all of your unconscious baggage away so that you free up room in your life for new vibrant energy to flow in.
Here is my experience with this book:
About 3 years ago I bought the book and pretty much read it straight through, giving minimal attention to the exercises. I saw little in my life change as a result of that. This time, I did every exercise in the book, and the results have been dramatic. The fear I had regarding money and scarcity is basically gone now. I feel inclined to warn and prepare others: If you just want to read a book that will change things for you, keep dreaming. It doesn't matter what book you read including this one, it won't work. The exercises in this book are challenging and demanding and can be frustrating and irritating. You have to do them though. A group devoted to going through this book together is the best approach, but if you have a lot of dedication and are sick of all the same old garbage, then you may have what it takes to really give this book what it needs.
As for the negative comments I read about this book, there is no basis for them at all. It is a tough book to use, and it could just be the frustration coming through. There were times I wanted to throw the book across the room so I understand that. If you are really serious about changing your relationship with money, this is the only book I know of that can have a truly powerful impact.
The book has a lot of good information with a different view of money. There are many practical exercises to help with money issues.
Marie Nemeth takes a subject most of us would prefer to avoid and takes us on an adventure to discover how to consciously direct our money towards what we care about most. I found this book engaging, practical, wise, insightful, and clear. One chapter after the next delivers the goods--with excellent questions at the end of each chapter to cement the learning. The chapter on "Scarcity Is One of Your Greatest Teachers" and the Forgiveness exercise alone would be worth every penny! Who wouldn't benefit from having a more conscious relationship with their money! This would be an excellent book study book. The Energy of Money: A Spiritual Guide to Financial and Personal FulfillmentMastering Life's Energies: Simple Steps to a Luminous Life at Work and Play
The book might be excellent to those teaching their children about money (i.e., for one's children, not for anyone over, say 15). It is not necessarily bad material, but poorly edited and in any case, frustratingly basic.
One of those books where the title grabs you, but the content disappoints immediately. Slooooow reading that calls for an editor. Overly simplistic to a thinking audience looking at the abstract/psychological/behavioral aspects of money/wealth.
A sample: "Imagine if a laser beam wasn't bouncing all over the obstacles and could get right to the heart of the matter, that would be using your money energy efficiently, consciously, and powerfully...You will clear away many of the boulders that have been in your path...When you and I have an idea and begin to take it into physical reality, there is an incredible shift in the energy that it takes" For an adult, this is tiring to read.
Better alternatives are "wealthy and wise" or "everyday irrationality", "hooked" , "the high price of materialism", "my vast fortune", or perhaps more analogous is "creating affluence". This genre demands a good book.
