Perfect for tuning out noise at work, traveling, or even when you are trying to sleep in a loud environment. Customer Reviews

Work quite well but a little ackward (3.0)

These aren't the best ear phones in the world, and for low level noise I didn't find them overly effective, BUT for loud noises they can't be beat. I routinely used these for long C-130 flights and they work well enough that I could listen to my Ipod halfway up on the volume with out any problems. These even work better than the foam earplugs when boarding the aircraft during hot refueling (engines on and feathered. I also liked them because they have a monitor button that you can push to bring all of the sound back.

Having said all of that the cord is an ackward length and the battery pack is in the middle not quite far enough away to clip on your waist, and the ear buds kinda suck. For the money though they are great and I think better than my Boise noise canceling headphones.

Oh and you can sleep with them on quite well.

busrider (2.0)

I bought this because when riding the bus I would hear more noise than music. The noise cancelling is fair and the fit is also fair. I would not spend over 100 for this pair of ear buds. At best this is a 50.00 pair of ear buds.

Disappointed? (3.0)

I was hoping for a good earbud noise cancelling headphone that did not cost $300. This is not it. FIrst of all Sony advertises that it cancels 87%, while the packaging says 75%. When questioning a Sony customer service rep, he acknowledged that the Sony web page had incorrect information and 75% was correct.

I do have an over the ear noise cancelling headphone, however, when traveling on airlines for many hours, it is certainly more comfortable to have ear buds should you want to sleep on your side. The comfort somewhat overcomes the shortfall of the noise cancelling capabilities.

really good for a headphones (4.0)

pretty good earphones. When i plug it to my ipod only one dot of volume is needed to blast your ear off. noise canceling works good but not that great. If care a little about the noise cancelation then I would really recommend this to anyone. WARNING!!! don't bust your volume up cause you will have ear damage .

They are what I expected. (5.0)

I did a reasonable amount of research on this product to evaluate the pros and cons. So when I tested the pros were what I expected as were the cons. After a couple of days of use the pros outweigh the cons.

My test in a noisy computer/server room resulted in a better than expected reduction in room noise. When used in a quiet room with the noise-cancel feature on, there is a slight hiss. The hiss is similar to, as described by another reviewer, a cassette tape playing with Dolby off and volume up between songs. But, if you are in a quiet room, no need for noise-cancel!

Earpieces are comfortable and there are three sizes to choose from. Plus, a small cloth bag to store the headset.

So 5 stars for the product delivering what I expected to receive.
