Customer Reviews

There are a variety of different Similasan eye relief drops for differing ailments. (5.0)

There are a number of Similasan eye relief drops out there for different conditions including one for those staring at a computer screen.

Anyway, I tried this product because my eye did get real red and tired, not sure if it qualified as pink eye but combining rest, a cool compress (tea bags work) and this Similasan product, within 12 hours, the ache was in submission. Furthermore, Similasan can be used "as needed", it is not like the "get the red out" eyedrops where it can only be used 4 times I believe in a 24 hour period. Similasan does not sting, it soothes and feels good. I got my condition I think mainly from being in some very windy weather for a long period of time but I was alarmed that I was coming down with a bad eye ache, redness and I believe a bit of swelling. This is no problem to take lightly when one's eyes start to bother one and I researched it as much as I could. In the final analysis, this was of great help. I'm not sure if I had actually "pink eye" or a similar malady, but "pink eye" can be a very common occurence especially with children. After tussling with this eye problem, I think one of their products would be good to have around and use to try to prevent any reoccurence.

Factory cited by US Food and Drug Adminstration for lack of sterility in manufacturing eyedrops (1.0)

Simlilasan was cited for inadequate handling of sterilization filters
and issues relating to claiming that pink eye drops treatment claims.

or Google "Similasan" and "warning letter". This was in 2005, but I could find nothing about changes, and the fact that you put this in your eye makes me quite concerned about sterilization.
Before you put these in your eyes, or your kid's eyes check you might want to do some research or check with your doctor.

Works Great (5.0)
