all this product is,is a flour,and a couple seasonings.very dry texture,you add pumpkin and eggs and large amount of oil.didn't need a mix to do this!!very poor quality product and I am stuck with 5 more boxes,ugh!!

great pumpkin loaf (5.0)

I have used Dassant products for over 10 years. All their breads are amazing, but this is by far my favorite. Well, I guess the brownie truffle is a close 2nd. Great to have in the pantry next to a can of pumpkin. I enjoy it all year long, not just in the fall.

Fabulous Pumpkin Bread Mix (Yes, it needs canned pumpkin.) (5.0)

Dassant is one of my favorite brands for baking mixes, and the pumpkin bread is no exception. This mix has a delicious flavor with just the right amount of cinnamon and nutmeg. Yes, the mix does require canned pumpkin, but there really isn't any way to have authentic pumpkin flavor without adding the real thing.

Besides adding the pumpkin, the mix requires water, eggs and oil. Good additions to the mix include 1/2 to 1 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans and/or 1/2 to 1 cup of chocolate chips (mini-chips do not sink to the bottom of the pan.) The finished bread freezes well which is helpful if baking in advance. The pumpkin icing recipe on the box is quite good. It requires some of the canned pumpkin (the entire can isn't needed for the mix), butter, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and powdered sugar.

When I can find Dassant mixes I buy them and here's why. The Dassant ingredient list includes six items - enriched bleached flour, sugar, spices, salt, leavening and either soybean or canola oil. The list on a name brand spice cake mix I had in my pantry has 18 ingredients including partially hydrogenated soybean oil, corn syrup, artificial color and a number of unpronounceable items. I love to bake from scratch but sometimes I don't have time. Using a mix is a time saver but I still want it to taste free of chemicals and be as natural as possible. This brand makes that possible.

Great seasonal bread (5.0)

I really love this bread, and so does my family. I was very pleased to find a mix that allowed canned pumpkin to be added, and the bread has more authentic flavor as a result. I am disappointed that amazon doesn't have it in stock at this time for a reorder. I hope it comes back in soon. Sue C.

Terrific for Thanksgiving and holiday tables (5.0)

I made this mix for Thanksgiving and it was a real hit. Had the pumpkin on hand as I had been planning to make a pie but this was better!!! Have used Dassant mixes before and find them consistently great. I usually bake my own bread and pies- but when time is short these mixes are the closest to homemade.

Yummy treat for pumpkin lovers! (5.0)

This Pumpkin Quick Bread mix is terrific for breads or muffins on short notice. Great for a snack at home or to carry along in the car. The muffins are about $.20 apiece as opposed to whatever you pay out in the world at shops that sell muffins. Bread bakes in under an hour; muffins are less than 30 minutes. Nice to keep on hand for welcoming new neighbors, taking a quick treat to the office, or for packing in lunches for school. We always have this and the banana bread on hand. Two thumbs up! Even novice cooks or children can make these. Enjoy!

Delicious and Easy To Prepare (5.0)

When I used this mix it was my first time to bake pumpkin bread even
though I have always enjoyed it at friends' homes or when I was able
to purchase it at a bakery. This is as delicious as any pumpking bread
that I have ever eaten and it is very easy to prepare. I hope I will

My favorite pumpkin bread (5.0)

I love this mix. We have made it three times already and each time I like it better. It has this wonderful bit of ginger that tastes so fresh. At first I thought my friend had put extra ginger in it because I love it so much.
Anyway, I never write reviews unless I really hate it or really love it. To top it off there are no chemicals in it. There is nothing I can't pronounce. Amazing!

This mix is delicious! I was a little confused at first on how to make it using my Breadman Breadmaker, but I figured it out in less than 5 minutes. The aroma of the bread just prior to the end of the baking process is heavenly.

Sweet Seasons Pumpkin Bread Mix (5.0)

This mix makes the most delicious pumpkin bread I've ever tasted. It's easy to make and comes out of the pan moist and tasty. I don't know how well it keeps though because it never lasts more than a few days with us.

I first tried this product last fall after seeing it at Costco. It was a hit with my grandson. My husband is rather picky about his pumpkin , it is my homemade pie or nothing. So one day after making a few loaves I decided to put a slice in his lunch box with a note to "Just Try It!". He did and fell in love with it. He will even ask for the pumpkin bread over homemade pumpkin pie!

I tried this over the holidays, and was so surprised that I keep buying it for everyday. Each package makes 2 loaves of great bread. My whole family likes it. I love the frosting that comes with it, it adds just the right touch. If they ever get more in, I will definitely buy it over & over again. It also keeps well, and you can use it all week.

It's easy enough for a child to learn to bake, tastes great and makes a healthy breakfast, snack or dessert. Freezes well. Can be made as a bread or muffins.

Ad is a bit misleading (5.0)

I usually buy this at my membership warehouse during the holiday season. It comes as a box that makes 4 loafs which is the same box pictured in the photo shown here on amazon. This leads you to believe that that you get 2 packs of 4 loaf each kits for a total of 8 loafs. That is not what you get. They send you two 2 loaf packs for a total of 4 loafs. You get 8 loafs for the same price by purchasing it at costco or sams club when the holidays are here. I will definitly stock up next year. But if you love it (it is awesome) and run out, guess you gotta pay.

Absolutely Delicious Bread! (5.0)

The Libby Pumpkin Bread Kits are only available in stores during the Thanksgiving and Xmas season, which is really too bad! It is by far the most delicious recipe I have ever made, so moist and simply just good. At Xmas time, I gave some loaves away, took some as hostess gifts and served some for our house guests and received so many compliments, everyone just loved it! I was completely out of kits, tried to find more in the stores (all gone), but I was thrilled to find the kits on Amazon, so I ordered enough to get by until they are available in the stores next holiday season! Love it!!

Very disappointed (1.0)

Was not worth buying. Prepared according to directions and ended up in the trash. Batter was extremely thick, the bread did not rise and had no taste to it. Now I'm stuck with the remaining three which I'll need to figure out how to doctor the recipe in order to have better luck next time. I can make much better pumpkin bread from scratch using my own recipe.

Pumpkin, Pumpkin, Where's the Pumpkin (1.0)

If you need a brick that tastes like flour, is heavy enough to keep the car from rolling, and has no taste, color, or smell of pumpkin or spice, buy this mix. It was quite a disappointment. I made two loaves, just in case the first was a fluke and the second was worse than the first.

Delicious Pumpkin Bread (5.0)

The package suggests adding nuts, raisins, grated carrots and coconut. I added only pecans and raisins. The next time I will try the other suggestions. The bread is very good, just sweet and spicy enough. I ordered more.

Foolproof and Delicious! (5.0)

I discovered this great pumpkin bread kit in time for the holidays this year. Each kit makes two large loaves -- I used my largest loaf pans and it filled them up. The texture is different from any other quick-bread mix I've tried -- it's moist and dense, like you'd make from scratch. You can put the finished loaves in airtight plastic wrappers and they should stay moist for a long time (provided they last longer for you than they did for me). The kits come with the dry mix, a can of pumpkin and a packet of icing for the top. (I also added chopped walnuts to mine for a little crunch.) Great stuff, and since my grocery store ran out of the kits and I can't find them, I'm going to order a couple from Amazon.

Moist & Tasty, EVERY TIME! (5.0)

I can burn water, but this kit gives EVERYTHING needed for an easy baking experience. I've used this product for years (since'98,'99?) and it routinely produces the most flavorful, moist, quick & easy muffins - you CAN make the bread but muffins ROCK!!! ;)
I always try to order extra kits for later in the year, but I can't seem to NOT use them! Delicious without a doubt!
