If you think that spending nearly $50 for a costume slip is worth it, this may be OK. for you. When we unpacked and shook out the slip, we thought it wasn't even the same slip, but zooming in, I can see that it is, in fact, the same- one can see the edge of the bustier through the fabric of the slip. I think perhaps it is the fact that the image is cut out and pasted on a white background that makes it look more opaque.
Basically, there is one layer of nylon, with a draw-string- not even an elastic waistband, and at the hip ONE layer of tulle netting, each tier gathered into the one above. It would not support much weight in a skirt over it- anything more than a filmy fabric will crush it down. To hold a classic poodle skirt shape, one would need several of these, which could be built for about two bucks and an hour's work. Only those in a great hurry or no ability to sew at all will find this worth while.
This is costume, not clothing underpinings.

I purchased this dress in white for my civil ceremony wedding in December - it arrived quickly, within a week of purchase. I ordered according to my measurements and it only needed a small adjustment for the bust, which was expected and and inexpensive. It is very well constructed and now that I am having a formal and religious ceremony I will have my bridesmaids order this same dress from PacificPlex.

Perfect for the budget conscious bridesmaid (4.0)

I looked high and low for a burnt orange bridesmaid dress with very little success unless I wanted to spend a small fortune. I stumbled upon this lovely dress in pumpkin and both I and the bride found it to be the perfect color and a great simple style. It arrived quickly and painlessly. I took the advice of the other reviewers and completely ignored their size chart. I'm normally a size small top, so that's what I ordered, though my actual measurements are a bit larger than the size small on the chart. The dress fits great and stays up because of the boning. I've seen many of the designer dresses in person and most really aren't made any better or of better materials than this one. It's an amazing value for your money. The only thing that would improve this dress is a lining, though that would drive up the cost. I would highly recommend this dress for bridesmaids. So cute and easy on the wallet, plus it comes in a ton of great colors.

The color of this dress was spot on, baby pink, perfect. The dress itself though, just okay. It was somewhat thin in fabric. The boning in the dress was flimsy. I had to rip out the straps for hanging because they were sewn in at a weird angle and I couldn't hide them while wearing it. The length of the dress was just right also. The sizing I was nervous about when I bought it. SML just doesn't work for this item. Unfortunately I ordered an x-large and it was about 1-1 1/2 sizes too big. If there were a better sizing chart or numbers, that would help greatly! The shipping was very quick though. It left about 3 days after I ordered it and arrived (overseas) about 2 weeks later. For the price, it was good enough. Properly tailored this would be a very lovely dress.

I tought I might make a revieuw.
I ordered this dress for my daughter's homecoming.
We looked at the revieuws written and some say you should get a size smaller, and some say you should get a size (or even two!) bigger.
At first we desided to get a size smaller, an XS.
She loved the pink one, but it was sold out, at the end we got the pink one in a size S.
That's her normal size, we ordered it for about 9 days before the homecoming.
Because we live in Europe we choose the expedited shipping, we came at a total of 102$.
That's alot, considering the dress is about 70.
But hea, we kept hopeing it would come on time, but it didn't.
Finally it came 4 days later then promised.
AND we had to pay 30 euro's to receive it.
She wore some other dress, and we saved this one for the christmasball.
The dress its self fits perfectly!
So if your not a real small XS get yourself an S, same with M & L.
I would recommend getting you own size, it doesn't look as pretty as on the site tough.
The worst thing was probably the skirt, it didn't looks like the one on the picture at all!
But whit a bit wrapping and stuff it looks really good and cute. ;)
Just make sure you get the dress on time, and yeah, you gotta pay alot more then just the dress.

After reading the reviews already posted for this item, I decided to give it a try. I ordered it to wear as a costume in a theatrical production so I figured that the quality did not really matter. This dress is actually unbelievable for the price. While it is true that the workmanship is not the best I have seen, it certainly doesn't effect the look of the dress. I purchased this dress in black. The fabric drapes well and is very lustrous.

I ordered an XL because of a reviewer writing that she wears a 12 and the XL fit well. She was absolutely right. I wear a 12 in jeans and am very self conscious of my lower body, particularly my hips, tummy, and rear. I was afraid that the gathering on the sides and back would add bulk despite the fact that other reviewers said it did not. Actually, I put this dress on as soon as I got it (no hose or other support garments) and the dress looked absolutely fantastic. I felt like a million bucks.

I bought the dress as a costume, but would I wear it off the stage? Yes, yes, yes! And I guarantee no one would guess how little I paid for it. Don't second guess your self on this purchase. I am so glad I didn't.

this dress is truely amazing, i live in germany, my hubby is a soldier stationed here, and the dress came soooo fast. we ordered on thursday and it got here monday! i am size 16 in jeans and have DD breasts and ordered a 2X. my body shape doesnt have much curve but i have a big BIG chest and my weight kinda sits like a muffin top (skinny legs with a belly on top and not much of a curve, also not so great for finding dresses) and this dress was perfect! showed of everything it should and hides everything i dont want to be seen, even the muffin top belly i have! the rouching on the sides is just in the right spot, i felt amazing in this the minute i put it on, im 5'4" and with heels this dress barely lifts off the floor, but just enough. i am very impressed, bought for a MP ball we are going to at the end of the month and will post pictures after. i do have to say for being a bigger girl and having a hard time finding dresses i was scared to order online but honestly could not have found a better fit or feel. dress is classy and sexy for girls of any size, curves or no curves, boobs or no boobs...i honestly can say i think this dress would be right for anyone and will make you feel like a princess! i know i love it.(size 16 jeans, DD breast, muffin top shape, ordered the gold 2X, fit perfect and made me feel amazing!)

Beautiful dress for smal price (4.0)

I too was a little skeptical about buying a dress online. Not only for how it would look, but that I would get it in time. I live in Germany, and needed it in less than two weeks. I ordered the dress and got it four days later! Wow! The dress is georgeous. I was afraid, for the money, that the cloth would be thin and cheap, but the fabric is very lush feeling. The color is true to the pictures.

My only complaint is that it runs big. The dress is listed as a juniors, so I ordered a XL so that it would fit my hips, and butt. I'm petite and very pear shaped (36C 14 pant), so assumed the top would be a little big but could be compensated by a push up bra. I top is about 3 sizes too big, but the hip is perfect and with the "give" of the fabric I could have gone with the L and been fine. I would say when ordering, go with your bust and waist size.

I purchased this dress for my wedding gown. I received it quickly and when I took it out the box I was happy with it. It is cheaply made however, what can you really expect from a 100 dollar dress. For the price it is perfect for the occasion. It ha a small tear in the top half of the dress so I had to have it repaired. After the alteration the dress looks nice. And After I add some expensive assesories im sure ill look great. Good Dress for the price. Will recommend this o a friend ;-)

It came in a really small box, so I thought it might be a different order. Anyways the dress is beautiful, I absolutely love it. My only complaint is that it's a little too short. Since we live overseas, my mother, sister and I decided that we should order our prom/homecoming dresses early so we don't have to worry. I saw this dress and loved it from the start! It's cute and stylish without being too sexy or anything, and it matches my style ;] I'd heard a couple people have issues with the company's size chart, but I took my measurements and ordered accordingly. I'm n hourglassy figure with a 36 bust and a 30 waist and a large fit me GREAT :D It's a wee bit big in the bust, but it's really slight, so if we wanted it to be a more custom fit we could take it in, but I'm fine with it this way. We ordered the turquoise but were a bit worried it would be too shiny and nightgown-esque, but it's a really great color. The pin is very sweet and sparkly, not cheesy at all. It comes with a shawl of the same color and material, too. The shipping was great; it took about two weeks to get to us (but remember, we live overseas, so it reached its' first location uber-fast!)

Lowdown - Great dress for the price! I highly recommend the company and the dresses. I'll probably buy from them next year!

This dress looks exactly like the picture! I got the dress in 2 business days with regular shipping, which was very exciting! I plan on using them as bridesmaid dresses. It also comes with a shaw the same color and fabric as the dress. The sizing chart is a bit weird though. I ordered the dress for my largest bridesmaid to make sure it would fit. According to the size chart, her bust and waist were a bit to big for the 3x. However, I ordered anyway to see if it might fit b/c I loved the dresses. It fits perfectly everywhere execpt the front bust. It is actually a bit big and will have to take in a little bit. I am very pleased with these dresses!!!

This dress was beautiful. It was a perfect fit, not too long or short. It was very elegant. The black sash added just the right touch. There is also a rhinstone pin that truly added to the beauty of the dress. The material was of high quality and the make of the dress was also good. My daughter really stood out amongst her peers with this dress. It was well worth the cost, which I thought was modest for a dress like this.

This dress arrived earlier than I expected, and it was everything I had hoped for! I weigh a little less than 90 pounds, and I ordered the XS. It fit me almost perfectly, if that helps give you an idea of the sizing. The dress came right to my knees as advertised. The only thing I had to modify were the straps, which were much too long. This is a common problem for me though. It took about fifteen minutes to shorten them, and then this dress was good to go for my college graduation!
The sash was very pretty--you can't tell from the picture, but it actually snaps into place instead of tying. It was too big for my tiny waist, so I tied it and THEN snapped it--and it looked great.
I was thrilled with the result, and I thought it looked amazing--formal, but cute and pretty at the same time.
I would certainly buy from this seller again!
