A good choice (5.0)

I have used this deodorant for about 8 years now, and its one of the best that I have found so far. However if you have never used it or any other natural deodorant before, it will take your body anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months to get used to it. The time it takes for your body to get used to it is worth it however in my opinion. This stuff is amazing! I can put on 2 swipes each arm and it lasts me literally 20 hours - after so many years of use I have also found that you can sometimes - periodically - get away with skipping it one day. Not alot mind you - and that may have alot to do with my body type as well.
A great product in my opinion- well worth it.

Not so Green (3.0)

While Tom's of Maine claims to be a very Green company why is it a 2.5 ounce product comes in a four ounce non-refillable container? Since there is so little product the plastic shells end up in the recycle bin too often.

If Tom's really wanted to be a truly Green company they would offer refills so the plastic shell could be reused.

Worse than nothing (1.0)

I was searching for a non scented deodorant and thought this would be perfect. I tried it for two weeks before throwing it away. It burns the under arms and caused my skin to peal. It only works for about 6 hours, then I smell worse than without deodorant. I was to the point where I would have to reapply it at noon (I get up at 5am) and then take another shower when I got home at 6, then put it on again, and on again before bed. Give me a break! This stuff is garbage.

It's Like Applying Battery Acid To Your Underarms (1.0)

I wanted to like this product. I'm really not comfortable rubbing aluminum under my arms constantly. However, I'll have to keep looking for another alternative to regular antiperspirant. I can deal with the fact that Tom's Natural Deodorant doesn't last as long as antiperspirant or keep your underarms dry. What I cannot abide is the burning and skin peeling!

Tom's Unscented (3.0)

I think this is an effective deodorant and I didn't find anything offensive about the natural smell of the product or my personal scent after several hours. Unfortunately, after about two weeks of regular use I developed contact dermatitis under my arms: itchy, red, with light peeling. If not for my sensitivity to this deodorant I would continue to use it.

about time (5.0)

It was very hard finding a deodorant without anti-perspirant. I had my lymph nodes removed from under my arms and tropical traditions was a god send. I was even told by someone in the know at Rite Aid to use powder. So,if you have or had breast cancer and your nodes were removed from under your arms use Tropical Traditions Organic Virgin Coconut Oil Aluminum-free deodorant.

Waste of money (1.0)

The deodorant doesn't work -- it feels like wearing no deodorant at all, and it leaves stains on clothes. Definitely, a waste of money.

Great deodorant...I have been looking for a natural deodorant with out the chemicals and that worked to curtail oder. I usually wore at night and it seemed to help remove the toxins out of my body.

An interesting concept, but at least it works (4.0)

I've never heard of a nighttime deodorant, but I have known to apply deodorant before bed to get the maximum effects (just apply more in the morning). I'll say that the Herbalix Detox works very well for me. I'm not sure I can verify the detox claims; I'll just say that it keeps odor away, kills bacteria, and keeps my skin relatively dry. I will continue to use it, as well as the Tropical Cove scent, which smells fantastic.

I'm not sure if this really detoxes you or not, but I do like it and it's earthy smell. It will stain your clothes so wear it with something you don't care much about.

Not bad at all! (4.0)

I am very impressed. This deodorant actually does what it says; it's been about eight hours since I applied it, and I'm still fresh and fairly dry. There is some staining due to the beeswax and coconut oil, but the arrowroot and tapioca blend seems to keep that at a minimum. It also smells wonderful. Kind of delicious! It certainly kills the odor bacteria under my arms.

Unfortunate product (1.0)

This is a product that was not well thought through. I have been looking for years for a natural deodorant that actually works and have yet to find one. This one is like Toms of Maine in that it looks and sounds good but doesn't work at all. The difference between this one and Toms is that this one stains your clothes due to the fact that it uses bees wax. I should have thought about that before I bought it. So, if you want to believe me, don't waste your money on this product.
